Maintaining a safe living environment is very important to homeowners in Melbourne, FL. They have lived in their house for several years, but it wasn’t until recently that they noticed some of the concrete slabs on their property were starting to crack and sink. This resulted in unsightly tripping hazards along the driveway.
It is common for concrete to sink over time as the soil underneath settles due to factors like age and erosion.
The homeowners wanted to be as proactive as possible in addressing the problematic areas of settling, uneven concrete. They were excited to schedule an appointment with a Florida Foundation Authority inspector after learning about our concrete lifting and leveling services through Home Advisor.
After Inspector Alex Graves competed a thorough evaluation of the homeowners’ property, Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew installed a state-of-the-art repair solution called the PolyRenewal System.
Small holes were first drilled into the sinking slabs, and then injection ports were placed in each of the holes. Special equipment was then used to inject high-density polyurethane underneath these slabs. The foam material expands to fill the voids, and this allows for the precise lifting and leveling of each slab. PolyRenewal will not wash out, and concrete leveled with PolyRenewal can be walked on or driven on just 15 minutes after its installation.
To finish the two-part repair project, joint sealant was applied to the joints and any cracks to further protect the newly leveled concrete.
The owners now have peace of mind knowing this reliable installation has helped them create a safer home.
