During the six years that he has lived in his house, a homeowner in Orlando, FL, noticed worsening problems with the property’s exterior drainage system. Water collected in various areas, and could potentially seep inside the house. The above-ground gutter downspouts also were tripping hazards that affected the home’s appearance.
The owner started researching how to best address these issues, and he found information about Florida Foundation Authority on Home Advisor. After contacting us, he met with Inspector Bill Brown who completed a thorough evaluation of the property. Bill then recommended the perfect repair solutions.
Once the homeowner had a proper gutter system installed on the roof, one of our crews, led by Foreman Mike McDonald, could then upgrade the rest of the exterior drainage system. Newer, thicker, more reliable pipes were connected to the ends of the gutter downspouts and then placed in the ground for safety and aesthetic purposes. The new lines were directed to drain far away from the home’s foundation, terminating in the yard. The ends of these lines also were concealed with YardWell outlets.
The homeowner is pleased to have an updated exterior drainage system that will help keep his home dry.
