Homeowners in DeBary, FL, have lived in their house since it was built 16 years ago. During that time, they have seen some problems outside their home get worse over the years. Several areas of the pool deck had cracking, sinking concrete slabs that resulted in unsightly safety hazards.
The owners were concerned with the safety and appearance of the pool deck, and they wanted to have these problems fixed once and for all. During their research for repairs, the owners came across information about Florida Foundation Authority online and they were eager to contact us for further guidance. One of our inspectors visited to take a look at the concrete and measure how much it had settled. Our inspector then presented the owners with the perfect solution to address the exterior issues.
Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew then lifted, leveled and stabilized the pool deck with the PolyRenewal System. After drilling very small holes into the concrete, high-density polyurethane was injected underneath. This foam material expands to fill any voids, and this allows the concrete to be lifted and leveled. The pool deck was further protected by joint sealant that was applied to the joints and cracks.
The homeowners are happy to be rid of the tripping hazards, and to have a safer pool deck.
