They have lived in their house for several years, but it wasn’t until recently that homeowners in Stuart, FL, began to notice cosmetic and safety issues with their exterior concrete. The back patio and pool deck had areas that were cracking, settling and uneven.
While it is common for concrete to crack and sink over time, this results in unsightly and unsafe areas of concrete. Concerned with their home’s safety, the owners wanted to address these problems for good.
They contacted Florida Foundation Authority for further guidance after finding our website. Inspector Alex Graves completed a thorough evaluation of the problematic concrete, and he recommended the perfect repair solution.
One of our crews, led by Foreman Mike McDonald, used the PolyRenewal System to lift, level and stabilize these problematic concrete areas.
We did this by first drilling very small holes into the cracking and/or sinking slabs, and then placing injection ports in these holes. Special equipment was then used to pump high-density polyurethane foam underneath the slabs. The material expands to fill any voids, which allows for the exact lifting and leveling of the slabs. Joint sealant also was used to fill the cracks and joints.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this reliable repair solution has helped them create a safer living environment.
