Longtime homeowners in Daytona Beach, FL, were growing concerned with some issues they noticed on their property. Several areas of concrete along the sidewalk and driveway were cracking and uneven, resulting in unsightly tripping hazards.
Hoping to address these problems before any serious injury or damage resulted, the owners started to search for repairs. During their research, the owners came across Florida Foundation Authority’s website, and they were eager to contact us for further guidance. They met with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the concrete. Our inspector then presented the owners with the perfect state-of-the-art repair solution to their problems.
Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew then used the PolyRenewal system to lift, level and stabilize the concrete. Small holes were first drilled into the concrete and injection ports were placed in these holes. Special equipment was then used to inject high-density polyurethane underneath the sinking slabs. The material expands to fill any voids, and this lifts and levels the slabs.
While PolyRenewal is lightweight, it is extremely durable. It will not wash out, and its quick cure time allows for normal traffic to resume just 15 minutes after installation.
Joint sealant also was used to fill and repair the cracks and joints, as well as protect the newly leveled concrete.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this trustworthy repair has helped them create a safer living environment.
