After living in their house for several years, homeowners in Cocoa, FL, noticed potential problems in their front porch area. Several areas of the concrete floor appeared to be cracking and uneven, and an adjoining wall also was cracking and seemed to be settling.
The owners wanted to address these issues before serious damage resulted, so they started to search the Internet for repair options. They found information about Florida Foundation Authority, and they were eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help them.
The owners then met with Inspector Alex Graves who completed a thorough evaluation of the home and its problematic front porch area. Alex then presented the owners with a trustworthy, state-of-the-art repair solution.
Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew then used the PolyRenewal System to lift, level and stabilize the front porch. Once small holes were drilled into the concrete slabs and injection ports were placed in these holes, special equipment was used to inject a high-density polyurethane material under the slabs. This material expands to fill the voids, and this allows for the exact lifting and leveling of the slabs.
While fixing and repairing the concrete, our crew also noticed this helped lift and level the adjacent wall, as well.
The homeowners are happy this unique repair solution was used to help them create a safer living environment.
