Album Description
Homeowners in Orlando, FL, have lived in their house since it was built 32 years ago. Recently, they spotted some exterior problems. The soil near the driveway appeared to be eroding, resulting in settling concrete slabs within the driveway. Several areas also were cracking and uneven, which presented tripping hazards.
The owners were concerned with the safety and appearance of their property. They saw Florida Foundation Authority’s TV ads, prompting them to contact us for help. Inspector Bill Brown visited to evaluate the condition of the concrete, and he recommended the perfect repair.
Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew then used PolyRenewal to lift, level and stabilize the concrete. This was accomplished by injecting high-density polyurethane foam under the concrete through very small holes that were drilled into the slabs. The foam hardens and fills any voids between the soil and concrete, and this allows for the precise lifting and leveling of the slabs. Joint sealant also was applied to the concrete to further protect it.
The homeowners are happy this unique repair solution was used to ensure the safety of their living environment.
