Album Description
A homeowner in Oviedo, FL, was growing concerned with her back patio, which showed dramatic signs of settlement. A large crack ran across the patio, and there was consistent gap of several inches between the two cracked areas.
The owner waned to address these issues once and for all, so she began to research repair options. She decided to contact Florida Foundation Authority after learning about our company and our services online. She then met with Inspector Bill Brown who evaluated the condition of the concrete. Along with the perfect repair solution to that issue, he also pointed out how we could help with better water management from the exterior drainage system.
One of our crews, led by Foreman Joshua Ortiz, used the PolyRenewal System to lift, level and stabilize the settling concrete. This involved drilling very small holes into the sinking concrete and injecting high-density polyurethane foam underneath. Once this material expands to fill the voids, the slabs are then precisely lifted, leveled and stabilized.
The crew also installed more reliable pipes for the downspout conductor lines on the property. These lines were placed in the ground and directed to drain far enough from the home’s foundation and at the edge of the property. The ends of these lines in the yard were concealed by YardWell outlets.
The patio is safer, and there is better water management on the property, giving the homeowner peace of mind.
