Album Description
During the 16 years that they have lived in their house, homeowners in Orlando, FL, noticed problems outside their home were getting worse. Various areas of the driveway had concrete that was cracking and uneven. It is common for concrete to settle over time, but this often results in ugly gaps between slabs that present tripping hazards.
The owners wanted to improve the safety and appearance of the driveway, so they began to search for repair options. During their research, the owners came across Florida Foundation Authority’s website. They were motivated to contact us for further guidance, as well as meet with one of our inspectors. Bill Brown completed a thorough assessment of the concrete, which included taking measurements for settlement. Bill then presented the owners with the best repair solutions.
Foreman Mike McDonald and his crew then used the PolyRenewal System to lift, level and stabilize the concrete. High-density polyurethane foam was injected under the concrete through very small holes that were drilled, and this material lifts and levels the concrete. Joint sealant also was used to fill the joints and any cracks to further protect the newly repaired concrete.
The owners are happy these trustworthy solutions were used to help create a safer driveway.
