Longtime homeowners in DeBary, FL, wanted to address some exterior problems they noticed were getting worse over time. Various areas of the concrete pool deck were cracking and sinking. Some spots had concrete with significant gaps between the slabs, resulting in tripping hazards which are even more dangerous around pools.
The owners wanted to find the best repair solution, and they turned to Florida Foundation Authority after finding information about our company online. One of our inspectors visited the property to assess the condition of the concrete and measure it for settlement. Our inspector then recommended the perfect solution to repair the pool deck.
Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew used PolyRenewal to lift and level the concrete, and joint sealant to protect it. High-density polyurethane foam is injected under the concrete through very small holes. Once under the slabs, the material expands to fill any voids, thus allowing for the precise lifting and leveling of the concrete. Joint sealant was applied to the joints and any cracks.
The pool deck is now safe and stable, giving the homeowners peace of mind.
