Longtime homeowners in Geneva, FL, wanted to finally address a lingering issue. They noticed some sections of the floor seemed to be bouncy, sagging and uneven.
During their research into repair options, the owners came across Florida Foundation Authority’s website and they wanted to contact us for further guidance. Inspector Joe Travis visited and ventured into the crawl space under the house to evaluate the home’s support system. He found several areas of wooden supports that were visibly failing, thus contributing to the sagging floors. Joe then recommended the perfect repair solution.
Foreman Jonathan Reyes and his crew then installed several IntelliJacks underneath new steel support beams. While they look like other common support jacks, the heavy-duty IntelliJacks are made of galvanized steel. They are rust and corrosion-resistant, and are designed to stop settling. However, they can easily be adjusted if any settlement of the above floor occurs.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this reliable repair solution will always structurally support their home.
