It’s never a good idea to turn into a driveway at flying speeds like you're behind the wheel of the Batmobile. But it can be frustrating to have to come to an almost non-moving crawl.
A homeowner in Port Saint Lucie, FL, had major problems with his driveway. Near the entrance was cracking concrete, as well as settling sections. The concrete cracked and settled so much that it was an ugly safety hazard.
The owner wanted to find the best repair solution. He contacted Florida Foundation Authority after learning more about our company online. One of our inspectors, Alex Graves, visited the property to evaluate the condition of the concrete. Alex recommended having one of our crews use a unique repair solution around the property to lift and level the concrete.
Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew did this by installing the PolyRenewal system.
The repair project began by drilling very small holes into the driveway slabs. Injection ports were placed in these holes and tightened. Special equipment was used to inject high-density polyurethane under the slabs. The foamy material expands to fill the voids, allowing for the exact lifting and leveling of the slabs. A special sealant also was used to repair any cracks and further protect the concrete.
PolyRenewal is lightweight, yet durable and waterproof. It will not wash out underneath the slabs, and it has a quick cure time. Concrete leveled with PolyRenewal can be driven on just 15 minutes after it is installed.
The owner is excited we used this solution on his property because it enhanced his living environment’s safety and appearance.
