During the 10 years that they have lived in their house, homeowners in Orlando, FL, began to notice problems around the home’s exterior. Several areas of the driveway had cracking and sinking concrete that also was uneven.
Sinking and settling concrete is very common. The soil underneath can settle and wash out, resulting in unstable, unlevel, and cracking concrete. Not only is this unattractive on your property, it also causes safety and tripping hazards.
The owners wanted to find a quality, cost-effective solution, so they contacted Florida Foundatin Authority after seeing our TV ads. learning more about our company online. One of our inspectors, Joseph Grimsley, then visited the owners to thoroughly evaluate the condition of the concrete around the 18-year-old home. Joseph then presented the owners with the perfect repair solution.
One of our expert crews, led by Foreman Joshua Ortiz, then installed the PolyRenewal System to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete.
The repair project began by first drilling very small holes into the problematic, sinking slabs. Injection ports were then installed into these holes and tightened. Special equipment was then used to inject high-density polyurethane foam underneath the slabs. This material expands to fill the voids, allowing for the exact lifting and leveling of the slabs. Joint sealant also was applied to the joints and any cracks to further protect the newly repaired concrete.
PolyRenewal is lightweight, yet high-capacity and waterproof. It will not wash out underneath the slabs, and it has a quick cure time. Concrete leveled with PolyRenewal can be driven on just 15 minutes after it is installed.
The owners were excited we used this state-of-the-art installation on their property because it enhanced their living environment’s safety and appearance.
