During the almost three years that she has lived in her house, a homeowner in Melbourne, FL, has been dealing with a problematic water management system on her property. Water from the gutter downspouts would pool in several areas around the home. This water could easily seep inside, which greatly concerned the owner.
She wanted to address this problem once and for all, so the owner started to search for repair options. After finding information about Florida Foundation Authority online, she was eager to contact us for further guidance. Inspector Alex Graves visited to evaluate the condition of the exterior drainage system, and he then recommended having one of our crews upgrade this system.
Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew did this by connecting thick and durable 4” polyethylene pipes to the existing gutter downspouts. These pipes were placed in the ground for safety and aesthetic purposes. The new lines converged into one main line, which was directed to drain water at the edge of the front of the property.
The end of this line in the yard was concealed by a YardWell outlet. The YardWell is an attachment that prevents clogging from leaves and debris, and it can easily be removed for cleaning. Its green color allows the outlet to blend into the lawn, and it is durable enough to withstand lawnmower traffic.
The homeowner is pleased to have an updated exterior drainage system that will help keep her home dry.
