Longtime homeowners in DeBary, FL, were getting frustrated with the appearance of their driveway, as well as the safety of this area. During the last several years, the owners have witnessed more cracks develop on the concrete, and some areas of the slabs appeared to be sinking and uneven.
Tired of dealing with this unsightly and unsafe area of their home, the owners began to research repair options. Other contractors suggested completely removing and replacing the concrete, but this is an expensive, invasive, unreliable process.
After seeing information about Florida Foundation Authority and our concrete lifting and leveling service through online resources like Thumbtack, the owners were motivated to contact us for further guidance. They met with one of our inspectors who completed a thorough evaluation of the concrete driveway. Our inspector then recommended having one of our crews use our state-of-the-art repair process.
Foreman Mike McDonald and his crew then used the PolyRenewal System to lift, level and stabilize the concrete.
First, very small, minimally invasive holes are drilled into the concrete. Injection ports are placed in these holes, and then special equipment is used to inject high-density polyurethane underneath the slabs. This foamy material expands to fill any voids, and this allows for the precise lifting and leveling of the concrete.
PolyRenewal is lightweight, but extremely durable. It will not wash out under the concrete, and its quick cure time allows for normal traffic to resume just 15 minutes after installation.
Joint sealant also was used to fill and repair the cracks and joints to further protect the newly repaired concrete.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this trustworthy repair project has helped them create a safer living environment.
