After living in their house for two years, homeowners in Orlando, FL, noticed some drainage problems they could no longer continue to ignore. Water was building up in their yard in corners with drainage lines from the gutters/gutter downspouts.
The owners were worried about water leaking inside their home and causing additional problems. They wanted to fix this problem once and for all, so they began to search for the best repair options. After learning about Florida Foundation Authority online, the owners were eager to contact us for further guidance. They then met with Inspector Joseph Grimsley who evaluated the condition of the exterior drainage lines. Joseph advised the owners to have these unsightly lines replaced.
Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew then installed new downspout conductor lines.
The crew used durable 4” polyethylene pipe for the downspout conductor lines. These lines were attached to the ends of the gutter downspouts and directed away from the home’s foundation to drain water into the yard at the edge of the property. The lines were placed in the ground, and the soil and grass were replaced to conceal the new, buried lines. The lines were tied into one line that was concealed by a Yardwell outlet.
The homeowners are pleased to have an updated exterior drainage system that will help keep their home dry.
