The owner of a condominium in Kissimmee, Florida called Florida Foundation Authority with concerns about the stability of his pool deck. A lot of soil had washed out from under the pool deck on both sides, and the owner was worried the concrete would crack and break soon if something wasn't done.
We sent out John Becker to do a thorough inspection of the pool deck and determine how we could help.
John explained that the PolyRenewal system would be able to fill the gaps under the concrete and prevent it from sinking or cracking. The maintenance manager of the condo and the owner agreed that this would be an excellent option for repair.
Our installers, Doug and Mike, went out to perform the repair. First, they drilled penny-sized holes into the concrete as injection points for the PolyRenewal. Then, they pumped a specialized polyurethane foam under the concrete through those holes. This PolyRenewal foam expands to fill the space under the pool deck and hardens quickly to provide an amazingly fast and effective concrete repair. Doug and Mike sealed the holes and shaped the edges of the pool deck.
The condo association and the owner are very happy with the results and no longer have to worry about the pool deck sinking or cracking.
